Victoria, Canada · May 24, 2026

The mild May climate and beautiful surroundings make this a popular choice for Canadian and Pacific Northwest athletes.
Swim Course
The swim takes place in the cool waters around Victoria on Vancouver Island. Pacific Northwest water temperatures in late May sit around 12–15°C — firmly wetsuit-legal and on the cold side. A quality wetsuit with good thermal properties is important. The conditions are typically manageable with protection from the worst of the open Pacific.

The terrain offers a mix of flat and rolling sections with the stunning coastal and forest scenery that makes this part of Canada special. Road surfaces are good and the course is well-designed for racing. The Pacific Northwest setting means mild temperatures and lush green landscapes throughout.
Run Course
The run course takes athletes through Victoria — one of Canada's most charming and walkable cities. The Inner Harbour, heritage architecture, and waterfront paths provide a beautiful backdrop. The terrain is generally flat with gentle undulation, and the mild Pacific Northwest climate makes for comfortable running conditions. Crowd support from Victoria's engaged community is a highlight.
